The PCD Process of Creating a Web Site

1. Initial Consultation

We discuss your goal in creating a web site, the size of your site, any special features, such as eCommerce, and your price range.

We will give you realistic expectations of what will happen at every step of the web development process. We will answer questions like: how it will act; what it will cost; how many people are likely to visit it; how hard will it be to change; and where it can go in the future.

After agreeing on a rough estimate price and size of the web site, we can register your domain name (i.e. mycompany.com) and sign you up for web hosting (the service that stores your site for visitors to view). Domains cost as little as $9 per year, and hosting costs $10 per month.

2. Design / Site Creation

We make on or more, prototypes for the look of your site design based on your color scheme, logo, etc. After finalizing a design, we take your provided content (pictures, text, etc.) and create the site.

3. Site Launch

After revisions, where minor changes are made, we launch the web site for the world to see upon receipt of payment. Then we submit the site to search engines and discuss maintenance service, where you can send us updates to the site in the future and we will make the changes, keeping your site fresh and up-to-date.
